Acupuncture and the Art of Balance: A Natural Perspective on Healing

Acupuncture is part of a broader philosophy that views the body as a living ecosystem,
constantly interacting with its environment and responding to internal and external influences.
From this perspective, health is not just the absence of disease but the presence of balance,
vitality, and free-flowing energy. The principles behind acupuncture extend beyond the needles,
encompassing movement, nourishment, and therapeutic practices like gua sha and cupping—all
working together to restore and maintain the body's natural rhythm.

I am excited to introduce myself as Tamara Wheeler, Doctor of Acupuncture, dedicated to supporting the well-being of individuals and families here in Airdrie, Alberta. My passion lays in helping people navigate the effects of stress on both the body and mind, ensuring they are supported through life’s challenges and transitions.

With a deep respect for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and a commitment to modern research-based practices, I focus on acupuncture as a tool to restore balance, regulate the nervous system, and promote resilience.

My treatments are designed to assist individuals through:

✔ Stress and Emotional Well-being: Helping patients manage anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout through gentle and effective acupuncture techniques.

✔ Hormonal and Life Transitions: Supporting the body through puberty, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and menopause with natural regulation and balance.

✔ Surgical and Injury Recovery: Enhancing healing, reducing inflammation, and supporting rehabilitation post-surgery or illness.

✔ General Wellness and Vitality: Strengthening the body's natural rhythms, improving energy levels, and fostering long-term health.

As a mother of two boys, I understand the demands of daily life and the importance of maintaining balance. My family is my foundation, and I bring that same care and dedication into my practice—helping individuals and families feel stronger, more centered, and resilient in their everyday lives.
I also believe in community support and am passionate about assisting those facing high-stress periods, major life changes, and recovery journeys. My approach is compassionate, patient-centered, and tailored to each person’s unique needs.

I am proud to be serving the Airdrie community from Performance Massage, where I collaborate with a team of experienced practitioners dedicated to health and wellness.
